Words and Movement Theater Performance at Place des Arts
From January 13 to February 3, 2025, I participated in the Words and Movement theater performance at Place des Arts (Mots et Mouvements – Programme Art Adapté de la Place des Arts). The performance workshops were led by Julie Renault and Marco Pronovost, focusing on exploring identity, language, and imagination through a blend of storytelling and expressive movement.
During the workshops, I created a painting on a mask, transformed the drawing into words, the words into a poem, and presented them through body movement as part of the final performance — all within one of Montreal’s most prestigious and vibrant arts venues.
This collaboration was carried out in partnership with the Afghan Women’s Centre of Montreal (AWCM).
